Sizing built for African bodies.

AfriSize™ is Fusion Attire's own sizing standard for African fashion, that seamlessly translates to UK / EU / US equivalents. It covers an extended XS–6XL range and gives measurements in centimetres and inches.

The core rule

AfriSize™ measures the finished garment laid flat. It does not measure a body.

1.Always measure the finished garment, never the body.
2.Size for the largest measurement. Bust fits M but hips fit L → the garment is AfriSize L.
3.Never guess. Physically measure every piece.
4.Follow the AfriSize ranges below.
5.Wrong size means returns, and returns mean lost sales.

How each measurement is taken

Measurement	Method
Bust / Chest	Lay flat. Fullest part, armpit to armpit, × 2.
Waist	Lay flat. Narrowest point, × 2.
Hips	Lay flat. Widest point below the waist, × 2.
Length	Shoulder seam to hem (tops, dresses). Waist to hem (skirts, bottoms).
Sleeve	Shoulder seam to cuff.
Inseam	Crotch seam to ankle hem.

Measuring the body

Measure the finished garment, laid flat.

Sizing down when between two sizes

Always size up.

Different measurements across items of the same size

Every piece is measured individually and must land in the same band.

Guessing a size from a pattern or a label

Physically measure each garment.

Using age for children’s sizing

Height and weight, never age.
